Ingredients

  • Dough

  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 3 teaspoons salt

  • 5 cups "OO" flour

  • Toppings

  • Pizza sauce

  • Cheese

  • Your favorite protein and/or veggies

Directions

  • Dissolve active dry yeast and salt in warm water in a small bowl. Let stand until yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam, about 5 to 8 minutes.

  • Add yeast mixture to flour and mix with your hands. Once combined enough to form a ball place on a floured counter and knead for 5-10 min.

  • Roll into ball and place in bowl covered with a damp cloth for 2-3 hours to rise.

  • Once the dough has doubled in size, knead again a few times.

  • Split and roll into two pizza dough balls. Then cover with a lightly damp cloth for 30 min.

  • Place your dough on a floured surface again, spread the dough out to a 12-15 inches circle. You can pick up the dough to stretch or roll out.

  • Top crust as desired and bake at 500 degrees F until golden, 8 to 10 minutes.
