This dish is as easy as mix, bake, and serve- a much needed relief in the busy kitchen on a holiday like this.  Our stuffing serves as a savory side with the sweet hint of apples, perfect for tying all the sweet and savory flavors together on your thanksgiving plate!

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf french bread, slightly stale

  • 3/4 cups unsalted butter

  • 1 large chopped yellow onion 

  • 5 stalks chopped celery 

  • 1 cubed green apple 

  • 3 teaspoons poultry seasoning (thyme, sage, rosemary, black pepper, nutmeg)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chicken broth 

  • Optional cranberries 

Directions

  • Cut French bread loaf into 1” cubes.

  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat and add in the onion, celery, apples, and optional cranberries. Season with poultry seasonings. 

  • Stir in the cubed bread until evenly coated in veggie mixture. 

  • Mix the broth in slowly so bread does not get soggy. 

  • Grease a 9x13 glass pan and pour mixture inside.

  • Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until top of stuffing is golden brown. Serve while warm.
