8 black tea bags
4 cups water
4 cups milk
2 tbsp fresh ginger
8 tsp Sugar
8 cardamom
12 peppercorn
Pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
Maple syrup or honey
Crush cardamom, cinnamon, peppercorns, and cloves. Crush fresh ginger separately (mortar and pestle recommended)
Add water to a pot set to medium high.
In a separate pot, reduce pumpkin puree with honey or maple syrup.
When the water simmers, add tea bags and crushed spices.
Once water reaches a boil, add desired milk.
Stir and let simmer with the lid open, once pot has reached a rolling boil, turn off heat and add sugar and pumpkin.
Filter and serve!
